Short Story

World’s Best Taco

Logan wakes up late afternoon. He wakes up and is obviously quite hungry after staying in bed so late. It’s too late for breakfast, but he doesn’t have a craving for breakfast food anyway. He has a craving for the world’s best taco, and will order just that at Taco Town down the road. He quickly gets up and gets ready and strolls happily down the street thinking of how amazing his taco is going to taste, his mouth watering just thinking about it. Then he see’s the sign of Taco Town come into sight, a big taco sign. He goes up orders his taco, get his order, and heads to a bench to enjoy his meal. As he is sitting there he is getting ready to take a bite when a random person just starting inching closer to his taco with his face about to take a bite out of Logan’s taco. Of course he isn’t going to let someone take his taco and sucker punches the guy in the face. Then as he looks up he see’s a mob of people stampeding after him to take away his best taco in the world. So he gets up and takes off from his bench and starts racing down the street. As he is running someone hits Logan with their car, sending him flying and smashing/sliding against the street, luckily he thought to raise his taco in the air and takes all the damage to his face and saves the taco. The person from the car is sprinting now for the taco, but Logan quickly gives the man a sweep kick knocking him prone. Logan gets on his feet and makes a sprint for the man’s car, steals it and hits the man who hit him. As Logan is speeding down the road he thinks he is in the clear and goes to take a bite of his taco and right before he does another car ram right into him and causes a head on collision. Both people go flying through the windshields of their vehicles. The man is going to try and make an attempt to steal the taco. Logan notices this and is quick to drop his head and give the guy a flying head butt. As Logan lands he scans his surroundings. He notices his mob coming still and that he is close to the military airstrip. He gets an idea of how he can deal with this mob and finally enjoy his taco. He runs and jumps the gate to this military airfield and heads for a jet. He jumps into the aircraft and starts to take off. He gets up in the air and flies over the mob and bombs them. He then ejects out of the jet and parachutes safely to the ground. He looks around at the nothingness of the area. Then turns and finally enjoys the first bite of his taco and it is the world’s best taco. It’s so good that Logan actually sheds a tear.
